...Boneshaker Coffee Company first opened in January of 2003 in the old movie theater on Rosser Avenue in Bismarck, North Dakota. At the time, Boneshaker Coffee Company was in the same building as Epic Cycle & Sport, better known today as Epic Sports. The Rosser location was open from January 2003 until September of 2004. It was home to a wonderful atmosphere of high vaulted ceilings, a balcony with a stair case, cement flooring, a bike shop and an all around urban feel.

In September 2004, Boneshaker decided to take business up north and close the Rosser location. Boneshaker opened their new location at the Northdale Mall, right beside Dakota Eye Institute and Once Upon a Child. The new Boneshaker location soon became a favorite place for customers to come in and enjoy the fireplace or to grab a quick cup of joe through their drive-thru. While business flourished at the new location, Boneshaker and Epic Sports needed more space.

Boneshaker then moved, in October of 2006, into the newly developed Frontier Mall on Mapleton Avenue, just one half block east of the location in the Northdale Mall. The brand new Boneshaker still has the fireplace and drive-thru, but also added to their menu. The Boneshaker now serves sandwiches, wraps and salads for lunch and also added freshly baked muffins, scones, and turnovers. The atmosphere is more comfortable with more couches and great lighting that sets the mood for a great cup of coffee with family and friends
